Mallah of Love Hand made Jewelery Boutique
Mallah Of Love was founded four years ago in 2009, with a refreshing approach to the craft of making jewelry. I wanted to create a jewelry and accessories brand, which carries a message in it.
“Mallah” in ancient Hindu (Sanskrit) means a decorative string or cord of beads, often used at festive occasions, that can be hung round a person’s neck. Buddhists and Hindus traditionally used these beaded necklaces while reciting a mantra.
The beads represent qualities of knowledge, merit, freedom and happy life.
I took those basic principals and applied them into my work. In contrast to commercial brands, I chose not to follow guide lines or rules in my craft. My only motivation is love and passion of the elements I work with.
My journey began while studying the philosophy behind Yoga. Through increasing my knowledge and filling my world with the simplicity and richness of this fascinating philosophy, a door opened into the craft of making jewellery.
I embraced the elements Yoga provides in my designs as well as in my daily life. The concept leans on the traditions within the practice of Yoga, supporting absolute freedom and eternal peace. Once our minds are in a state of absolute freedom, a pure equilibrium occurs between spirit and material nature.
For me this provided a fertile ground to which I could grow and blossom freely. Life flows like a stream: flexible, free and powerful. The choices are limitless, and the ability to develop is unstoppable. My qualifications are only obtained by the development of my art.
My work is guided by the plea sure to create. Using my life philosophy as a craft tool has been a fascinating experience. I began using semi precious stones, leather strings, silver and other materials, which felt relevant.
The design line is not depended on formulas, but on intuition, emotion, touch and endless inspiration provided by the world around me. I combine the materials and the colours in a way which adds light to life.
Semi precious stones, silver elements and leather and are prominent in my recent work. These bracelets combinations create an eye catching harmony!
The daily Mantra which I follow daily says:
“Thoughts instigate reality, love produces art, creativitygenerate life”.
In the past, I worked as a model, studied graphic design, acting, and broadcasting. I recently graduated as a Yoga instructor.
I invite you to visit my vivid world where unique personal design choices come to life.
Namaste,
Orit
